A professional acoustical engineer registered in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, Mike has more than 25 years in the field plus a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, with research which resulted in new mathematical models to predict the insertion loss of fiberglass-lined ductwork.
He has served as the lead acoustician for many large, complex, and high-profile projects, including some of the largest resorts in the world, such as the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall and MGM Grand Hotel and Casinos in Macau, China. He has taught classes for the UNLV Department of Mechanical Engineering and the UNLV School of Architecture. He has served on the ASHRAE TC 2.6 Sound & Vibration Control committee, the Technical Committee on Architectural Acoustics for the Acoustical Society of America, and is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering, the National Council of Acoustical Consultants, and the American Institute of Architects, Las Vegas.
