Selecting an effective HVAC silencer is not a simple process. It requires a detailed analysis of the HVAC system and good advice about the location of the silencer to get the best performance.
We will help you select the silencers you need and custom-design them as necessary. Because we have an engineering department, we know that, in some cases, a silencer is not what is needed. If that’s the case, we can help you with alternative methods of noise mitigation as well.
Pre-Construction Silencer Selection
Available for new-construction projects still in the design phase.
- We start the analysis with your ductwork design
- We will need sound data for your air-handling units or exhaust fans
- Custom design services are available
- In some situations, a custom solution is best – especially if limited duct space is available
- Elbow silencers are always custom
- We lab-test our silencers to ASTM E477-20 standards and will do the same for custom silencers if required by the specification.
Post-Construction Silencer Selection
Available for finished projects with problematic HVAC system noise levels.
- We start the analysis with your ductwork design
- We will need your ductwork as-built drawings and sound data from your air handling units or exhaust fans
- We can perform noise measurements at the project site as needed
- We will provide recommendations for silencers and other adjustments to mitigate noise levels
- Custom silencer design is available
